As a patron of the Chesterfield Library, you have access to The NH Downloadable Books Consortium, comprised of fiction and nonfiction eBooks and audiobooks for adults and children.
There are currently over 7,000 audiobooks and 9,000 eBooks available in multiple formats and compatible with a variety of devices.
The free Libby app is the easiest way to get started with digital books, audiobooks, and magazines from the Library.
Instructions on how to get ready for borrowing electronic media
Please note: We recently implemented a new software system. As a result you'll need a new Library card number showing a 14-digit barcode number on the back to log into Overdrive.
Visit The Official Blog of the New Hampshire Downloadable Books Service. Depending on the types of books you would like to download (audio or eBook) and depending on the platforms and devices you intend to use, there are different sets of instructions you will need to select.
AFTER you have downloaded the OverDrive app/software and set up your account, you will be able to search and checkout books via the NH Downloadable Books Consortium.
Sign in by selecting "Chesterfield Public Library" and then using the 14-digit barcode number from the back of your library card. If your current card has less than 14 digits, you'll need to visit the Library to get a new barcode.
