Library Services
Audiobooks & eBooks
Audiobooks and ebooks are both available for cardholders to download through the NH State Library. Do you know how to pair devices to your vehicle’s audio system? Bring in your device or vehicle and we’ll show you! More information on downloadable books can be found here.
Book Clubs
We will assist book clubs, public or private, to get access to books through our Inter-Library Loan (ILL) program. The NH State Library also has a number of “Book Bags” (10+ copies of best sellers) that can be checked out for up to 6 weeks. For more information on the Book Bags, click here.
Computers and Internet:
Library users may use our computers provided they abide by our Internet Policy. Written parental permission is required for persons under 18 years of age. Wi-Fi is available at all hours in the library and in the library parking lot- the network name is CPL Patrons and the password is readingrocks. A cellphone charging station and grounded outlets are also available for visitor use inside the library.
Curbside and Home Delivery:
You can also request items for curbside pickup via our catalog. Provided the item is available, you will be able to pick it up at our front door (usually after a 24 hour turnaround period).
Don't get up! We will come to your home and drop off any of our materials if you are unable to come to the library. Contact the library if you want this service.
Inter-Library Loan:
If you are looking for an item that isn't in our collection, we can still help get it for you. Cardholders can ask a librarian to request books and media from other libraries. Requests can be made at the circulation desk, by calling, or emailing frontdesk@chesterfieldlibrary.org. Requests typically arrive within one to two weeks. To browse the New Hampshire Automated Information System (NHAIS) to see if other libraries own an item, click here.
Library Spaces
Library visitors are welcome to relax in any of our comfortable, clean, and relaxing spaces. We have multiple work tables and seating options. We have a renovated children's area and a teen area. Outside we have a picnic table, bike rack and multiple benches.

We have a large collection of local historical information. Cardholders can access ancestry.com on library computers. Librarians are available to help you with your research questions. The Chesterfield Historical Society welcomes inquiries as well. Their website is https://www.chesterfieldhistoricalsociety-nh.org/.
