Chesterfield NH Storytelling Festival 2012
January 28, 2012, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm in the Chesterfield Town Hall
The Friends of the Chesterfield will be hosting a storytelling workshop from 9:00 am - 11:00am. This is open to the community and beyond to see examples of storytelling techniques and learn how to practice and tell a story yourself or with a group. We have some young people storytelling if you would like to see what it looks like. Be prepared to participate and/or watch the activities. After 11:00 am, there will be an opportunity to document your own stories on video if you would like and archive them - see details on the storytelling festival guidelines. We encourage all ages to participate and have fun during this workshop! Come with a story, create one there, or just enjoy watching others tell stories.
Agenda:
- Introductions
- Warming up - activity for all
- Samples storytelling and sharing techniques and styles - four different groups
- Activity on creating story - individually or as a group
- Practice and/or demonstrate storytelling
- Participate in one last story as an entire group.
- Anyone who wants his or her stories video-taped can stick around for taping.
