CHESTERFIELD LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING
December 18, 2007
CHESTERFIELD, NH

Present:   

Jane Anderson, Judy Koopmann, Amanda Fryberger, Lee Brockmann, Josh Goldberg, Kevin Bresland; Karen LaRue, Jean Hansen

Absent: 

  1. Call to order:  7:30 p.m.

Thank you to Karen for the Christmas cookies.

  1. Secretary’s Report:  

Report on file. Bresland motioned, Fryberger 2nd. All agreed.

  1. Treasurer’s Report:  Discussed the budget. Placed on file. 

Fryberger will investigate why children’s books, etc. is so high. Anderson will check into new window screens. 

  1. Technology:

  1. Galluccio:

Fixed the printer but we need a new one. Bresland’s coworker found a business printer for about $500. HP Laser Jet 3000.  Bresland & Goldberg will shop for new printer & monitors after Christmas. We voted to spend up to $1,500. Brockmann motioned, Fryberger 2nd. Approved.  

  1. Website: 

Goldberg asked us to review & comment.  

  1. Policies (to work on):

  1. Public and school library policy:

 School librarian & Anderson will meet soon.  

  1. Disaster plan/Co-op meeting:

Goldberg is reviewing the plan & suggests that different people each take a section to be responsible for. 

  1. Old Business:

  1. Budget 2008: 

Fryberger checked with Carrier re when do we have to re-present our budget to the Selectmen. She will let us know.  

  1. Evaluation/bonuses: 

Approved $1,200 bonuses. Bresland made motion, Fryberger 2nd. All approved.  We then computed the bonuses for the staff.

  1. New Business:

  1. Holiday Closings: 

Christmas Eve: close at 1pm. New Years Eve: close at 3pm. Larue made the motion. Brockmann 2nd. Approved.

  1. Trustee elections:  

We need to put a blurb in Star Spangled Banner looking for volunteers.  Anderson will find out the date the names have to be submitted to the Town.

  1. Friend’s Group report/programs:

  1. Zelda Donovan Craft Night – Dec 7: 3 crafts: 

Centerpieces by Margaret Winn, Holiday Pig by Marilyn Rousseau, and a 3rd craft for the children.  Very successful.

  1. Authors’ contest:

Ends the end of January.  

  1. Other:  

  1. Public comment:
