CHESTERFIELD LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING
November 23, 2007

CHESTERFIELD, NH

Present: 

Jane Anderson, Judy Koopmann, Amanda Fryberger, Lee Brockmann, Josh Goldberg, Kevin Bresland; Karen LaRue

Absent:

Jean Hansen

  1. Call to order: 

7:30 p.m.

  1. Secretary’s Report: Report on file. Fryberger motioned, Bresland 2nd. All agreed.

  1. Treasurer’s Report: Tabled until next month due to spending the meeting on the Budget.

  1. Technology:

  1. Tech committee report: 

The automation software is being changed. The State Library is reviewing different formats so they can make a recommendation to the Town Libraries. 2 new softwares, Destiny and Atrium, will allow the Library to function if the internet is down. Larue discussed Follett.

  1. Website: 

Goldberg showed us the mockup of the website and asked us to review & comment.

  1. Network proposal: 

The Tech committee will compile estimates re the new computers, etc. & present them for review & voting next month.

  1. Policies (to work on):

  1. Public and school library policy:

Tabled for now.

  1. Disaster plan/Co-op meeting: 

Tabled for now.

  1. Old Business:

a. Grounds/bldg. maintenance: 

Tabled for now.

  1. Finish budget: 

We worked on the budget & the 2007 update to present them to the Budget Committee on Tues, Nov. 27th. Fryberger will let us know what time the meeting is. Goldberg edited the update at the meeting & it will be emailed to Town Administrator, Carrier tomorrow. The previous presentation to the Selectmen and their questions were discussed.

  1. Veteran’s Day program: 

About 50 people attended. Many Vets spoke & appreciated the program. 

  1. Zelda Donovan Craft Night – Dec 7: 3 crafts:

Centerpieces by Margaret Winn, Holiday Pig by Marilyn Rousseau, and a 3rd unknown craft as of this meeting.

  1. Other:
