1. Call to order:

2. Secretary’s Report: 

February 20th minutes approved. April Approved; move by Fryberger, 2nd by Koopman. Brockmann will send Feb., March, & April minutes to the website.

3. Treasurer’s Report: 

Tabled until next month. Fryberger will write the checks while Russell is recuperating, LaRue will sign them.

4. Technology:

1. Surge Protectors/Battery Backup in place. 

Galluccio installed new spy ware on Anderson ’s tower. We discussed antivirus programs. Pine Tree Cable was out last Tuesday long enough to affect our system. 

2. Tech. Plan/Ocean Bank grant: 

Bresland will contact Ocean Bank re grant.

5. Policies

1. Personnel Policies: 

Reviewed & approved with 2 changes. Move by Fryberger, 2nd by Brockmann

6. Old Business: 

1. Endowment fund. 

Stohr is working on the fund paperwork.

2. Election of officers: 

Bresland accepted Chairmanship & will be sworn in; Co-Chairman: Karen LaRue; Secretaries: Lee Brockmann & Judy Koopmann; Treasurer: Amanda Fryberger. Approved, moved by Brockmann, 2nd by LaRue.

3. Video shelving quote/adjustment: 

Quote lowered to $2,204.22. Includes the total frame but fewer shelves. The remaining shelves will be installed at a later date.

7. New Business:

1. Conferences-NHLA: 

Will be held at Mt. Washington Hotel again & Anderson will attend.

2. SRP – grant & programs: 

Anderson applied for & got the Kids Books & the Arts grant for Steven Blunt & his Bookin’ Down the Highway. The Friends Group with the Library’s share of the program ($150) and the Grant will cover the remainder. Anderson getting other speakers. On 7/16 the kids will ride the Green Mountain Flyer Train.

3. Grounds/painting: 

Jeff (custodian) will start on the painting. His wife will work in the garden.

8. Friends Group report/programs:

1. Weather with Kevin Skarupa 4/28/07: 

Very good program. About 45 or so attended.

2. Plant Swap 5/11: 

Will Vogley, Bee Tree, spoke about raising bees & getting honey. Very well attended & great plants.

3. Wildlife Encounters: 

June 7.

9. Other:

1. Screens have fallen off the windows & broken. 

Fryberger suggested that they be taken down in the fall. LaRue suggested that custodian take care of them.

2. Website: 

Fryberger has a friend who designs & maintains websites. Goldberg also reviewed our website & other libraries’. He liked the VT. Library’s & Chesterfield School ’s. Anderson will talk to David Stewart about ours. The Tech. Committee will meet & come up with our requirements.

3. Fryberger nominated Goldberg to the Tech. 

Committee. She also said that we need to look into getting another service provider. Bresland mentioned that Comcast had bought/was buying Pine Tree Cable. He thought the service should be better & that we should wait & see. The Tech Committee will contact the Town to see who it uses & see if we can all be combined like the phone system.

4. Town Masterplan: 

Children’s program room with computers.
